Plextor PX-64M1S and PX-128M1S SSDs
Today there was a announcement from Plextor. They will be releasing their very first chain of SSD, in other words, solid state drives. There will be the PX-64M1S and the PX-128M1S. They will both be 2.5 inches and will function with SATA 2 interface. The Plextor PX-128M1S SSD will be 128 GB and the Plextor PX-64M1S will be 64 GB. To keep the reliability at a high and for these storage devices to beused over a long amount of time of using Self Monitoring,Analysis and Reporting Technology to view and submit any errors, the Plextor SSD’s will have the special Wear Leveling algorithm.
The PX-64M1S will be able to sequential read at 110MB per second and sequential write at 65MB per second where as the PX-128M1S can sequential read at 130 MB’s per sec and sequential write at 70 MB’s per second.
The Plextor PX-128M1S will cost you $400 and the PX-64M1S $225.
